The gadget code can be added to a number of different social networks. Here are some instructions. If you are using it in a unique environment, please comment.
1) iGoogle Homepage
Add this gadget to your iGoogle homepage, click on the button below to add directory to your default ig search homepage.

2) Your Web Site
Adding this gadget to a webpage is as simple as using Google's widgetizer to generate some stylist Javascript container that you can place any where in your HTML source.
Customize and embed the widget on your page!

3) Your Blog as a Gadget
There are lots of free blogging sites out there that support these Google-style opensocial-ish gadgets, apps, or widgets (depending on which site you are on).
For example, you can really easily and quickly setup a blog with blogger.com (a.k.a. blogspot.com). In the layout section you can add Gadgets to your blog. Click on "Add a Gadget" -> "Add from Source".
